Dr Chan was so very knowledgeable, kind, caring and reassuring. He performed an anterior approach hip replacement on me as an outpatient. I flew the length of Florida because I wanted no one else to do the work and nearly a year later, I'm still convinced I made the right choice. From someone that hobbled around for nearly 10 years to within 24hrs of the operation being able to walk half a mile and ride an exercise bike was far beyond my imagination. The staff at the hospital were so very kind and caring. Everyone was there when I woke up and I can say it really was very much appreciated. I woke up exactly where I fell asleep and to see Dr Chan right there with the anesthesiologist and all the nurses was incredibly reassuring. I couldn't have been made to feel anymore safe than I was and the operation was just about 40 minutes. My other hip has started clicking and crunching now, and I can't wait to go back and get that one changed out. Dr Chan answered all my questions during our consult before I had even asked any. A true caring professional.
